ABOUT THE PROJECT
A hospital needs one place where doctors, nurses and reception see everything about a patient.
MED CRM is PremierMed's internal information system. It connects the patient record, appointments, consultations, the lab, imaging, admissions, operating rooms, the emergency department, billing and inventory.
It runs on the hospital's own server, inside its network, and is used in the browser or as a desktop app that updates itself. Patients also have their own portal where they can see their record.
CHALLENGES
Medical data is the most sensitive data there is, and the rules in Moldova are specific.
The system had to comply with GDPR, work with patients' IDNP numbers, CNAM insurance claims and the ICD-10 classification, and stay simple for staff who have no time for long training.
On top of that, every action had to stay traceable: who opened or changed a record, and when.
SOLUTIONS
We built it module by module, in more than 11 stages, each one tested before the next.
IDNP numbers are checked against their check digit and masked in lists. Diagnoses use the ICD-10 catalogue, prescriptions a medicine catalogue for Moldova and Romania, the emergency department uses ESI triage, and lab results recognise their own normal ranges.
Security was designed in from the start: two-step sign-in with backup codes, an audit log that cannot be changed unnoticed, and consent and data export in line with GDPR.
RESULT
The whole hospital now works in one system, on its own server, with no data scattered across spreadsheets and paper.
